How to reach Favignana
Every route ends at the port of Trapani, where the hydrofoils to Favignana leave. Pick the airport you land at (or the "Already in Sicily" tab), then check the crossing times. Icebreaker Cocktail 6 September, conference 7-10 September, workshops 10-11 September.
Times on this page were checked on the operators' websites on 30 August 2026. Bus and hydrofoil timetables can change at short notice, especially in mid September: confirm your connection on the operator's site the day before you travel.
The hydrofoils leave from the port of Trapani (Via Ammiraglio Staiti), not from Trapani airport. If you land at Trapani-Birgi you still need to get to the port, about 15 km away.
Get to the port of Trapani
Choose where you arrive. Palermo has the most flights and a direct bus to the port; Trapani is the closest airport; Catania and Comiso are on the other side of the island and need at least half a day of travel.
Cross to Favignana
Two companies sail from Trapani. Liberty Lines hydrofoils are the fast option (30 to 50 minutes depending on the Levanzo stop); the Siremar ferry takes about an hour and carries vehicles and heavy luggage.
On the island
The conference venue, Tonnara Florio (Ex Stabilimento Florio, Via Amendola 29), is a few minutes on foot from the hydrofoil pier, and so are all the accommodations in the town centre. The interactive map at the top of this page shows the venue, the hotels and the meeting points.
