Help us shape the AEM Family Tree

There is no future without recognition of the past. And no-one can thrive alone. Whilst we all individually know who to thank for their role in turning each of us into AEM experts, users, or enthusiasts, we lack the big picture showing the connections across people, institutions, and continents that shaped the present AEM community.

At AEM 26 we would like to start bridging that gap, designing the AEM Family Tree. Help us map the connections from the roots of the godfathers of AEM to the youngest buds of the students. We hope the AEM Family Tree will be both fun and inspirational.

We therefore ask you to provide here and now, in the fields below, information about THE single, most important person (you could call them your mentor) for your AEM career and experience. We will then connect the leads and build the tree.

The AEM Family Tree will be presented at the 2026 conference and it will be passed on to future AEM conferences to continue evolving, testifying to both the legacy and the growth of AEM.

Registration Fees & Accommodation

All registration fees include conference participation and 4 nights of accommodation (Check-in Sept 6 – Check-out Sept 10). Please select your preferred accommodation type below.

Includes accommodation in a shared apartment. Important Notice: The student rate is strictly limited to the first 50 registrants. Once capacity is reached, students may still register but will be subject to the Standard Double Room rate and accommodation.

Post-Conference Workshops (Sept 10-11)

You can optionally add the post-conference workshops to your registration. The workshop fee includes 2 additional nights of accommodation, plus lunch and coffee breaks on September 10 and 11.

    – EMFlips: a successor to EMFlow plus Local anomaly, IP and SPM fitting and correction
    – Hands-on processing, modelling, visualization and integration of AEM data

Sponsor Registration & Accommodation

As an official sponsor of the AEM 2026 Conference, your primary registration fee is fully waived. This included package provides you with the standard accommodation plan, which covers 4 nights of stay (Check-in Sept 6 – Check-out Sept 10).

Please use the fields below to configure your accommodation details. While your base stay is complimentary, you still have the option to extend your visit by booking additional nights or requesting a room upgrade. Any extra costs incurred for these optional services will be calculated automatically and summarized for payment at the end of the form.

Consequently, this individual registration will be processed under the Standard Registration category. Accommodation Details

Additional Night Rates: For any nights exceeding your included accommodation (4 nights for standard registration, or 6 nights if you are attending the Post-Conference Workshops): € 180.00 per night.
Room Upgrade Rates: The room upgrade fee is € 35.00 per additional occupant, per night.
(Please note: this fee applies to the entire duration of your stay, including both the included nights and any additional nights booked).
Additional Night Rates (Double Room): For any nights exceeding your included accommodation (4 nights for standard registration, or 6 nights if you are attending the Post-Conference Workshops): € 120.00 per night per person in a shared double room. Please note that extra nights in a shared double room are subject to confirmation by the Organizing Secretariat. They can only be confirmed if the specific roommate you nominated also requests the same additional nights, or if we can successfully match you with another participant requiring the exact same dates. Confirmation of the additional nights will be provided at least 1 month prior to arrival.

Unconfirmed Nights & Upgrade Option: If the requested extra nights cannot be confirmed due to the lack of a matching roommate for those dates, you will not be left without accommodation. The Organizing Secretariat will contact you to offer a choice: you can either pay a supplement to upgrade to a single occupancy room to guarantee your stay, or opt to receive a full refund for the unconfirmed additional nights.
Additional Night Rates (Student): For any nights exceeding your included accommodation (4 nights for standard registration, or 6 nights if you are attending the Post-Conference Workshops): € 75.00 per night for shared accommodation. Please note that, as student accommodation is provided in shared apartments, any additional nights requested outside the included period will be subject to confirmation by the Organizing Secretariat, depending on whether the same nights are also requested by other students. Confirmation of the additional nights will be provided at least 1 month prior to arrival.

Unconfirmed Nights & Alternative Option: If the requested extra nights cannot be confirmed due to a lack of other students sharing the same dates, you will not be left without accommodation. Extra Activities & Post-Congress Extensions

We have curated a special program of optional experiences to help you discover the beauty, history, and flavors of Favignana and mainland Sicily:

  • Extra Activities (During the Conference): Scheduled throughout the conference days in Favignana. To accommodate everyone, some tours run during the scientific sessions (ideal for accompanying persons), while others take place after the daily program concludes so all delegates can join. These are optional experiences offered in addition to the included social events (Icebreaker Cocktail, Sunset Dinner and Gala Dinner).
  • Post-Congress Extensions: Optional 2 to 3-day packages starting after the conference. These are fully all-inclusive experiences covering guided activities, transportation and transfers, accommodation, and all meals.

Please note: At this stage, we are simply gathering Expressions of Interest to help us finalize logistics. Prices are not yet available. Please select your preferred payment method below to submit your registration. Depending on your choice, the procedure will be as follows:

  • Credit Card: You will be able to complete the transaction immediately through our secure payment gateway. Once processed, your registration is confirmed instantly and you will receive an email with your official invoice.
  • Bank Transfer: Your registration will be saved and you will automatically receive an email with your invoice attached. The invoice will contain the total amount due, our full bank details, and your unique registration code (e.g., aem-xxxx). You will have 5 days to process the payment, and you must include this unique code in the bank transfer reason.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the Organizing Secretariat (aem26@eurocongressi.it). Refunds for registration fees, accommodation, and extra tickets will be processed according to the following schedule:

• On or before July 26, 2026: 100% Full refund.

• From July 27 to August 16, 2026: 30% penalty (70% of the total amount will be refunded).

• From August 17 to August 30, 2026: 50% penalty (50% of the total amount will be refunded).

• From August 31, 2026 onwards: 100% penalty (No refunds will be issued).

* Please note: All approved refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the conference. Any applicable bank charges will be deducted from the refunded amount.
